Northwest Technologies Employee Benefits Program (NWtech) is a program under the Washington Alliance for Healthcare Insurance Trust (WAHIT), focused on meeting the benefit needs of Washington businesses that operate within the technology sector. NWtech understands the importance of attracting and retaining employees in this competitive marketplace. Through the Trust, NWtech has arranged group insurance contracts with Premera Blue Cross, LifeWise Health Plan of Washington, LifeWise Assurance Company, and Vision Service Plan to provide technology employers an array of benefit options that will do just that. Coverage options include medical dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), dependent life and supplemental/optional term life*. Additionally the Trust has contracted with ComPsych to provide GuidanceResources®, an employee assistance and work-life program which is included with the medical coverage at no additional cost.
By the pooling of a large number of participating employers, WAHIT/NWtech is able to negotiate and arrange group insurance contracts at a price that is typically more in line with a small employer's budget.
